The Cake Solution use a commercial courier to deliver anywhere in mainland UK. Delivery by other means or outside mainland UK may be possible by arrangement but an additional delivery charge will be payable. Our delivery partner can deliver 7 days a week, although additional charges apply for weekend delivery. Please review our website for the charges. While we will always strive to deliver your order as soon as possible, from time-to-time delays might occur due to events out of our control.

We ship our products at a temperature appropriate to the food concerned and perishable frozen goods will be delivered in recyclable food grade cardboard boxes containing specialised freezer packs in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Please follow instructions provide for defrosting and storage of your product.

Once you have completed your order and selected the day you require your item to be delivered, we will arrange for our delivery partner to deliver your order, you will be provided with an order number and a tracking number. So long as you have provided your email and phone number our delivery partner will update you on the progress of your delivery. It is necessary that you, or someone on your behalf, will be available to receive and sign for the order at the agreed time and address the order is shipped to. The products will be at your risk from that time. If someone at the delivery address other than you signs for the Goods, we are entitled to assume that person is authorised by you to do so.

If no one is at the delivery address when delivery is attempted then the following arrangements will operate, the driver may attempt to leave the product in a safe place (depending on weather conditions) failing this, they will be taken back by our delivery partner, and we will be unable to arrange a further delivery because of their perishable nature. Since the goods cannot be resold, and we will have incurred a delivery charge, we will retain in full the price of the goods debited from your payment method; no further attempt to deliver will be made.

Amendment of order and cancellation rights  

In the case of perishable Goods, you may amend or cancel your order by contacting us by email at or by telephone on +44 (0)115 9851161 prior to the following cut-off times:

All orders are dispatched the day prior to your selected delivery day. If you wish to cancel your order you must cancel delivery by midday the day prior to your chosen delivery day.

in the case of our weekend delivery service (inc. public holidays), no later than 30 minutes after the order confirmation but before midday.


Order Confirmation.

If you amend or cancel your order within the time limits, then we will credit you payment method within 30 (thirty) days of the amendment/cancellation.

Where you amend or cancel an order outside of the time limits; if they have already been dispatched we will be unable to recall the product and the order will proceed to be delivered and chargeable to you in full. If the product has not been dispatched to our delivery partner, we will credit your payment method within 30 days. We reserve the right to make the decision to credit an order or not if you have not notified us within the time frame to cancel or amend an order.

Refunds policy

We will make every effort to ensure your order is received in good condition, with the quantity and products you have selected for your order. However, if you are dissatisfied with the condition of your delivery, quality of your product or you have been sent the incorrect product or incorrect quantity of products, you should notify us as soon as reasonably possible. In the case of perishable products, you should inspect them on delivery and report any issues to us immediately by phone within 24 hours of delivery. We may require you to send photos of the goods / order prior to any offer of credit or refund which will be at our sole discretion.

We will not be liable to refund or credit an order if our delivery partner attempted to deliver on an agreed day and you did not answer, where our delivery partner attempted to leave the goods in a safe place and you did not retrieve them prior to the product reaching its optimum temperature as a perishable product.

Your rights as a consumer

As a consumer you have legal rights in relation to goods that are not of a satisfactory quality or fit for purpose and services not carried out with reasonable care and skill. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect these legal rights.

Data protection and privacy

We are committed to maintaining the security of your personal information in accordance with the requirements of relevant data protection laws.

Our Privacy Policy will apply whenever you provide us with personal information.

Liability of The Cake Solution

If The Cake Solution fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, it is responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of its breach or of its negligence. The Cake Solution is not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of The Cake Solution breach or if it was contemplated by The Cake Solution and you at the time that you became a Member of the Membership and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The Cake Solution shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to you resulting directly or indirectly from any cause beyond our control, including but not limited to, failure of network services and failure of data processing systems.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for: (1) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (2) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (3) any matter in respect of which it would be unlawful for us to exclude or restrict our liability.

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you in respect of any loss or damage suffered and arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or for breach of statutory duty, or in any other way, shall not exceed the amount of your order value.

We will try to resolve any issues quickly and efficiently. We endeavour to respond to all complaints within 14 days. We will keep you informed as we handle your complaint and will in most cases be able to resolve this within 30 days.

Claims may be reduced or rejected if we have not been given an opportunity to put matters right.

Events outside our control

If for any reason we are unable to dispatch your order to our delivery partner due to events outside of our control, your order will be refunded in full.

Intellectual property 

All rights, including copyright, trademarks, names and logos used in relation to our website are owned by or controlled for these purposes by us. Nothing in these Terms confers on you any license or right under any of our trademarks, names or logos or those of any third party.

We reserve the right to issue proceedings against any persons or entity who copy any part of this website, this includes but is not limited to text, photographs, images, graphics, logos, icons, trademarks.


We may make changes to these Terms and Conditions from time to time (if, for example, there is a change in the law that means we need to change these Terms). Please check these Terms and Conditions regularly to ensure that you understand the up-to-date terms that apply.
